Jalili: Iran doesn’t recognize Israel’s ‘red line’

Iranian negotiation says he would continue resisting int’l community demands on nuclear program if elected president.

Iran does not recognize Israel as a state or the “red line” determined by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Iranian nuclear negotiator and candidate in the Iranian presidential election Saeed Jalili told the Financial Times on Thursday.

The Iranian negotiator vowed to continue resisting the demands of the international community to halt production of 20% enriched uranium, and insisted the Islamic Republic only wants to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, under the rights granted in the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

“We have said that what has been produced is for our domestic and pharmaceutical needs. [Western powers] see that the fuel is [produced] under the supervision of IAEA inspectors in Fordow and Natanz [enrichment facilities] and they see this is used for peaceful purposes,” he said.

“We do not want anything beyond [Iran’s rights under] the NPT [Non-Proliferation Treaty]. We naturally expect to enjoy our rights under the NPT. The main question is why they [the major powers] do not recognize Iran’s right to uranium enrichment under the NPT,” Jalili added.

Jalili also expressed confidence that if he were to be elected president in next month’s election, he would not have any problem recovering the Iranian economy from the burden of sanctions imposed on it by Western nations.

“At least over the past few years when I have been carefully following the effects of sanctions, I see that they can be easily bypassed and turned into opportunities,” he said.

He also harshly criticized the US, dismissing the possibility of holding direct talks with Washington to resolve the nuclear stalemate.

Explaining the distrust the Iranian people have to the Americans, Jalili accused Washington of supporting ousted Shah Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi after the 1979 Iranian Revolution, as well as supporting ousted Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

“The US has seriously obstructed the goals and wishes of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation, which cannot be denied… The Iranian nation’s behavior over the past 34 years shows that the US cannot do whatever it wants,” he said.

He also accused the US of inconsistency in handling of the nuclear stalemate. “The US seriously opposed Iran’s nuclear program when they thought they had no rival in the world. But then they said they were seeking international consensus, but that did not succeed, either. Then again they went back to unilateral moves. This shows the US’s confusion,” he said.

Iran, There Comes a Time When There is No More Time

“I will bless those who bless Israel and I will curse those who curse Israel” בראשית Bereishit

Ever since the fall of the Shah of Iran, as a result of the Islamic revolution led by Ayatollah Khomeini and his colleagues in front of Iranian students and citizenry, figures like former Prime Minister Amir Hoveyda were summarily beheaded.  Others such as Prime Minister Chapour Bakhtiar and Ambassador Fereydoun Hoveyda, Amir’s brother, managed to escape to the safety of Paris…  But on 7 August 1991, Bakhtiar was murdered along with his secretary, Soroush Katibeh, by three assassins in his home, agents of the Islamic regime.

As time went by, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejadh took power since August 2005.  Ever since then, he has been vociferous in his venom against America, the Land of Israel and the Jewish people.

But it was on December 14, 2005, that he went above and beyond his previous rhetorical attacks against America and Israel, when he suggested the Holocaust was a myth, causing many European leaders who were among Iran’s most lucrative partners, to be outraged.

Since then, the world could hear Ahmadinejad or any of his colleagues, such as Larijani, who was the chief nuclear negotiator -whom I had heard once address a crowd in Dubai, exciting the people when he vociferously attacked “Israel” and the “Jews”.

The Quran (Albaghara 2:191-193) says: “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers] … and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”

An article written by an analyst and strategist from Khameini’s camp, Alireza Forghani, has been posted on most state-owned sites, including the Revolutionary Gard’s Fars Agency -showing the official endorsement of the regime.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called Israel a danger to Islam and that they should not miss the opportunity to remove “this corrupting material because there is “legal justification” to kill all the Jews and annihilate Irael and that Iran should take the helm for that endeavor.

Israel has been threatened time and again by this lowlife and his ilk.  The world has been endlessly negotiating and sanctioning Iran. And, by now, Iran seems to be very advanced in their quest to have a nuclear bomb.

IRANThe above declarations are not from a few year ago, but from four days ago. And it’s time to listen to Ahmadinejad.

As such, one can no longer heed to the argument that “if anyone would attack Iran, the whole population would turn against their aggressor…”  Fair enough.  But, we have been waiting for over decades, and no Iranian student movement has truly developed in any strong way.  There is no resistance that one knows of or if it exists, it most certainly must be a light version.

We have been told from the beginning that the Iranian people are the most Westernized in the region and a new regime in Iran would transform them and the world, ending terrorism; Iraq and Afghanistan could become much more stable…  in short, beneficial effects would be felt all over the region and beyond.  Sure, to do that all we would need to do is support the Iranian people in their aspirations for freedom without appeasing or negotiating with their leaders.

We have often been told that we must help Iranians free Iran and that  anything else would backfire as it would create Nationalism in Iran and destroy the resistance.  Indeed, Iranians are patriotic as the world could see when Saddam decided  to attack the weak Iranians who had no spare parts and whose leaders had been executed, yet they fought for 8 years, not allowing anyone to defeat them . This was despite the US, USSR, Britain, France and all the Arab money were backing Saddam.

However, the problem is that the Iranian people and student movements, do not seem in any rush to get their act together, while the nuclear is moving forward.  Many have had faith and have counted on the student movement, but for when, what are they waiting for…?

It is clear that roughly eighty million people can decide to overturn an evil regime, as we have seen throughout history, revolutions have happened.

Saying that “The Iranian people are the most Westernized in the region and a new regime in Iran will transform the world” sounds great, but the big question is for WHEN?

Being too westernized, too pro-democracy is proving to be counterproductive in the end… And when push comes to shove, there is a lot of talking from the Iranian ‘resistance’… but the nuclear advances and the world cannot wait forever.

So the time has come to realize that one can no longer wait for the Iranian population to remove their evil regime.

Israel is being attacked by the whole world, at this point, world opinion can be relegated behind the only one force that counts, that has always and will always stand by the Land of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide: God.
