A Nuclear Primer for Ron Paul

WE177 Nuclear Weapon
A Iranian future?

Ron Paul’s quest for isolationism is at best a pipe dream for a utopia that doesn’t exist. In Thursday’s GOP debate he said:

“There is no evidence that they have [a nuclear weapon]. And it would make more sense — if we lived through the Cold War, which we did, with 30,000 missiles pointed at us, we ought to really sit back and think and not jump the gun and believe that we are going to be attacked,” Rep. Paul

While he is right, there is NO evidence that they currently have a nuclear weapon they do have 4,922kg of uranium hexafluoride (UF6) enriched to 3.5%, and at least 80kg of (20%) U-235. As of November 2011, Iran most likely has acquired enough U-235 to fuel its 5th bomb. With over 8000 centrifuges operating at capacity at Natanz alone, less than 400 will be needed to make the push from reactor grade to weapons grade. With current estimates at Iran’s present rate of production they will produce the 120kg of UF6 by June, 2012. Only 12 months are theoretically needed to accomplish this with only 328 centrifuges. This timetable is drastically reduced if and when Iran was to make a sprint to the finish line; doubled (656) would bring it down to 7 months, quadrupled (1312) would bring it down to under 4 months while if they used 3000, were down to 6 weeks. And I remind you this is just Natanz. This does not include Fordow at Qom were we know they are within weeks of producing more UF6 right now.

Previous reports by the Director General have identified outstanding issues related to possible military dimensions to Iran’s nuclear program and actions required of Iran to resolve these.33 Since 2002, the Agency has become increasingly concerned about the possible existence in Iran of undisclosed nuclear related activities involving military related organizations, including activities related to the development of a nuclear payload for a missile, about which the Agency has regularly received new information.

The information indicates that Iran has carried out the following activities that are relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device:

  • Efforts, some successful, to procure nuclear related and dual use equipment and materials bymilitary related individuals and entities
  • Efforts to develop undeclared pathways for the production of nuclear material The acquisition of nuclear weapons development information and documentation from a clandestine nuclear supply network
  • Work on the development of an indigenous design of a nuclear weapon including the testing of Components

Iran is a leader all right, in human rights abuses, including stoning, decapitations, and hanging from cranes (a national favorite it seems). Iran is the number 1 sponsor of terror in the world fermenting acts of violence around the globe. They supply weapons and money to Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza, as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon, amongst god knows how many splinter groups. This is a country that gave plastic keys to heaven to hundreds of thousands of youth in order to march to the front where they threw themselves in front of tanks and into mine field to clear the way for the troops.

And for anyone who denies the sincerity of these genocidal monsters let me leave you with a happy quote from Ruhollah Khomeini

“We have often proclaimed this truth in our domestic and foreign policy, namely that we have set as our goal the world-wide spread of the influence of Islam and the suppression of the rule of the world conquerors … We wish to cause the corrupt roots of Zionism, capitalism and Communism to wither throughout the world. We wish, as does God almighty, to destroy the systems which are based on these three foundations, and to promote the Islamic order of the Prophet … in the world of arrogance. We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry ‘There is no God but God’ resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle. Establishing the Islamic state world-wide belong to the great goals of the revolution. Islamic Revolution … is being exported … [so that] with the dispensations of the Supreme Lord, the banner of Islam is likely to be hoisted throughout the globe in the not-too-distant future.”

No problem here, right Ron?

House passes 2 Iran bills

House passes 2 Iran bills by Jeff Treesh

Good movement on Iran finally, but will it be enough?

The GOP-controlled House of Representatives passed two national security measures yesterday, and threw the ball into the Democrat-controlled Senate’s court. By a 410-11 vote yesterday, the House approved the Iran Threat Reduction Act, H.R. 1905.  This bill would tighten sanctions against Iran, and allow for sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran if a finding is made that the bank supports Iran’s terrorist activities.

By a 418-2 vote, H.R. 2105, The Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Reform and Modernization Act, which provides for new sanctions against companies that transfer certain goods, services and technology to these countries. Both bills are off to the Senate now, adding to the Senate amendment that would impose sanctions on the Iranian central bank, to the defense bill passed last week in the 100-0.

If the bills pass the senate, It will be time for Obama to act Presidential and sign them all into law now.

We have 6 months to a year and Iran will have a nuclear bomb. They have enough enriched material now with 1 more cycle through the cascades, for up to 3 weapons.  Iran is currently ready to start enrichment deep inside a mountain at Qom, supporting Hezb’allah in taking over Lebanon, supporting Hamas and Islamic Jihad (and countless others) in jihad funding, all the while supporting Assad and his homicidal campaign against his own people.  All this and they still find the time for killing and locking away any sign of resistance in their own citizens.

With a nuclear weapon(s) Iran will not just be a threat to Israel or the United States, but to the entire world. With a nuclear weapon, Iranian threats to the world’s citizens will become the norm, making the insane ranting of Kim Jong-Il look like a child wanting a toy. They will hold the world hostage for energy by blocking the straights and driving up the price with fear and intimidation. It will be in other words a nightmare. A nightmare with a regime that sends children to clear mine fields, stones their women, and thinks a suicide bomber’s mission is a gift to Allah.

Don’t forget the 12th Imam.

When the time comes around spring-summer 2012 when it comes down to imposing a (hopefully U.N. mandated) blockade, we must be prepared to go it alone.  I’m sure Britain and France will be united with us, even if the usual destabalizers of world peace Russia and China utilize their standard crying and complaining MO.

Because when the fall comes, our time will be up. Remember all the suicide bombers they have guided to their doom? Imagine nuclear ones.

Please come Back..

Welcome!

“If brought soberly and with substance, private actions can be of material assistance to the government, because the bankers of terror are cowards. They have too much to lose by transparency. Name, reputation, affluence, freedom, status. Theyʹre the weak link in the chain of violence. They are not beyond deterrence.ʹʹ

What’s got to be made very clear to the Iranian government is that its behavior is really quite offensive and really quite unacceptable on a variety of different items..It’s just not acceptable that protesters should be arrested, raped, and sodomized in prison. And the Nuclear Issue.. If Iran did acquire atomic bombs, it would put pressure on other countries in the region do the same. Many Arab countries believe it is unfair that Israel has nuclear weapons. If Arab countries, notably Saudi Arabia but also Egypt and possibly Syria, found themselves caught between a nuclear-armed Israel and a nuclear-armed Iran, it would greatly increase pressures to pursue their own nuclear options. This could result in a regional arms race in the Middle East which is likely to be quite destabilizing, given the number and intensity of conflicts and instabilities in the region. Iran’s support for Hamas and Hezbollah has led to two major wars in Lebanon and Gaza in the past four years. Iran sponsors international terrorism, foments conflict throughout the Middle East, ignores its obligations under multilateral treaties, undermines the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, interferes in Iraqi and Lebanese politics, suppresses the human rights of its own citizens, aids anti-U.S. fighters in Afghanistan and threatens U.S. allies in the region and beyond.
