German Muslim Politician Supports Introduction of Sharia Law in Europe

A politician has controversially voiced her backing for Sharia law being introduced in Europe, calling it “absolutely comparable” with current legislation.

Absolutely comparable in what way exactly? Sharia demands that married individuals who cheat be stoned to death. To me, that doesn’t seem very compatible with Germany law. After all, Germany has actually abolished the death penalty.

And how about the Sharia-prescribed punishment for theft — cutting off the thief’s hands? I’m all for a zero-tolerance policy, but modern European governments do not have the right to cause bodily harm to suspects (or convicted criminals, for that matter).

Another issue: rape. When a woman says she has been raped, Sharia demands she finds a couple of witnesses who can corroborate her story. If she doesn’t find such witnesses, she can be put on trial herself, resulting in a very serious punishment.

The State Secretary for the Berlin government, Sawsan Chebli, defended Islamic law saying it can exist alongside Germany’s Basic Law because it “largely regulates the relationship between God and man.”

That, too, is simply not true. Sharia law is “divine” according to fundamentalist Muslims — that is correct. But that doesn’t mean it mostly focuses on the relationship between God and man. In fact, it focuses quite a bit on man’s relationship with… man. Either Mrs. Chebli doesn’t know what she’s talking about, or she’s lying through her teeth. In either case, she clearly is unfit for her role in Berlin’s local government (seriously, she’s actually state secretary? What a joke).

The above is bad enough, but Chebli was just getting started.

She also said that Germans should stop criticizing Muslim women who wear headscarves, arguing that it’s a “religious duty” for them. Other than that, there’s nothing to it. Sounds very reasonable, but it certainly does matter whether or not a Muslim woman wears one. Those who do are generally very conservative and, therefore, not exactly well-adjusted to European culture and values. Those who don’t tend be more Western-minded.

Well, perhaps that’s not always the case. You see, Mrs. Chebli doesn’t actually wear a headscarf herself. That’s right: she’s all for Sharia and for her fellow Muslim women covering up in public, but she doesn’t do so herself. Perhaps someone could explain to Mrs. Political Correctness that, if Sharia were to be introduced, she would be among its first victims.

Thankfully, not even members of Mrs. Chebli’s own Social Democrat party (SDP) support her outrageous remarks. Erol Özkaraca, a Turkish-German politician, responded with disbelief:

Chebli is one of the comrades who wants to build a bridge to Islamist societies. This is absolutely wrong. It is fatal.

Note the distinction Özkaraca makes between Islamic societies (in other words, societies in which the majority religion is Islam) and Islamist societies (in which Sharia is the law of the land): You can be a Muslim and modern at the same time. However, nobody can combine Western enlightenment values with Islamism. Chebli is apparently all too willing to sacrifice the former in favor of the latter.

The good news is that I’m convinced that the German people aren’t willing to let Chebli and her ilk get away with their anti-German Islamism. In fact, if recent polls are to be believed, the immigration hawks of Alternative für Deutschland (Alternative for Germany) are already quickly gaining ground. Every time an undercover Islamist like Mrs. Chebli opens her mouth, the party undoubtedly receives thousands of extra votes — or perhaps even more.

Pay attention to what’s happening in Germany. The elections will be held sometime between August 27 and October 22, 2017. Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU is losing ground in the polls while the AfD is surging. The more that people like Chebli open their mouths, the bigger the AfD will become.

Yes, Germany’s very own populist revolution coming up… just like in the Netherlands.

Daniel Greenfield//Remember all the assurances that there was no possible way that any of the poor Syrian “refugees” would be ISIS Jihadists? Here’s another reminder of what they’re worth.

More than 200 police commandos took part in the pre-dawn raids in northern Germany to detain the men, who were suspected of either plotting an attack or awaiting orders to commit one.

The men were identified only as Mahir al-H., 17, Ibrahim M., 18, and Mohamed A., 26, in a statement issued by federal prosecutors.

They left Syria last October and travelled via Turkey and Greece – a route used by tens of thousands of refugees and migrants – and arrived in Germany in mid-November.

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said the three apparently used the same migrant trafficking network as several of the Isis gunmen who killed 130 people in Paris in November last year.

Prosecutors said in their statement that Mahir al-H. had joined Isis in its de facto capital of Raqqa, Syria by September 2015 and received some weapons and explosives training.

The following month, all three men had pledged to travel to Europe in talks with an Isis fighter who was “in charge of missions and attacks” outside of the Syria-Iraq region where the group has its self-proclaimed caliphate.

They were detained at three refugee shelters in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein by more than 200 commandos of the federal police, BKA and police forces of several states.

Police also raided several other asylum seeker shelters, Die Welt daily said.

German authorities have urged the public not to confuse migrants and “terrorists,” but have acknowledged that more jihadists may have entered the country among the around one million asylum seekers who arrived last year.

I wonder why anyone would confuse the two?

Now remember Obama’s assurances about how thoroughly screened his 10,000 Syrian Muslim migrants are? Just wait.

Sharia Police Patrols Forming In Hamburg

Islamic State and “Sharia Police” stickers have been seen on vehicles in Hamburg, and some fear that extremists may try and harass residents. However, police and security services have denied these reports.

At least one witness has came forward claiming that she has seen Islamic State logos and sharia police slogans on a car in Hamburg. According to the woman, she saw a car at a traffic light populated by three women wearing the Islamic full-face veil, the hood of the car was described as having a large logo on it with a blue border which read: “Sharia Police”.

Now some fear that the so-called sharia patrols that harassed the residents of Wuppertal in 2014 could be returning to German streets, reports Die Welt.

The woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, told the paper that she clearly saw the words “Sharia Police” on the vehicle. The original sharia police were formed in 2014 by radical preacher and Islamic convert Sven Lau. Lau formed the group in order to tackle what he deemed unIslamic or “haram” behaviour in Wuppertal. The group wore high-visibility jackets with the words “Sharia Police” on the back.

The patrols harassed locals in the area who were drinking, gambling, or engaging in any other activity considered socially acceptable in the West which would otherwise be considered haram in Muslim countries. The group also put up stickers – much like their British “Sharia Patrol” counterparts – indicating areas that were “sharia controlled zones” and subject to the Islamic holy law, rather than German secular laws. Alcohol, gambling, music, pornography, prostitution, and drugs were all said to be banned in the area by the group.

Sven Lau himself was revealed to have ties to radical Islamic groups earlier this year after he was arrested on suspicion of aiding and recruiting for Islamic State. German prosecutors alleged that Lau had bought night vision goggles and other equipment in order to aid the group, and had made several trips to the Middle East where authorities say he made contact with Islamic State.

One local Hamburg politician is taking the possible reemergence of the group seriously. Left Party politician Cansu Ozdemir has made a special request via the Hamburg Senate to try and find out what the police and intelligence services know about possible sharia police activity. The Senate responded claiming that they had no evidence of any sharia police activity in the area.

According to Die Welt, there was a second case reported at the Dammtor railway station where witnesses said they saw the Islamic State logo hanging from the rear view mirror of a bus on which five to seven burka-clad individuals could be seen. Police have said there haven’t been any formal reports made to them regarding the incident.
