Anti-Islam Dutch politician Geert Wilders planning another Mohammed cartoon expo in Netherlands

BNI// The leading Dutch counter-jihad politician wants to send a message after two Muslim terrorists attacked a Texas event where he and others were standing for freedom of speech. Geert Wilders said today that he wants to stage a parliamentary exhibition of the cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed that sparked a deadly shooting in Texas that left two dead.

UK Telegraph  “I am going to request parliament to exhibit the same cartoons as those that were displayed in Garland,” Mr Wilders told AFP on Wednesday, referring to the Dallas suburb where the shooting took place on Sunday.

Police said the two gunmen drove up to the conference centre in Garland, where the American Freedom Defence Initiative was organising a controversial Prophet Mohammed cartoon contest, and opened fire with assault rifles, hitting a security guard in the ankle.  A Garland police officer then shot and killed both gunmen with his service pistol.

Mr Wilders, 51, had left the conference centre, where he made a speech criticizing Islam, shortly before the incident. “I want to send a message that if you use violence to suppress free speech the only effect is that we’ll do it even more,” Mr Wilders said, adding “we must show we’ll not be intimidated.”

The platinum-haired Mr Wilders, whose Freedom Party (PVV) gained popularity in the Netherlands on an anti-Islam ticket, denied that a cartoon exhibition would be provocative. “I don’t want to provoke, but at the same time we must show that we’re standing for freedom of speech,” Mr Wilders said.

Ever since forming his own party in 2006, the firebrand politician has been a divisive figure in the Netherlands, which prides itself on its long but fading tradition of multi-cultural tolerance. Mr Wilders himself has no hesitation in branding the Koran as a “fascist” book and have before likened it to Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

But the politician is facing prosecution in the Netherlands after a controversial statement last year during local government elections in which he vowed to ensure fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands.

Public prosecutors received more than 6,000 complaints of discrimination after television footage in March last year showed Mr Wilders asking party faithful in The Hague whether they wanted “fewer or more Moroccans in your city and in the Netherlands?”

“Fewer, fewer!” the crowd shouted with a smiling Mr Wilders saying: “We’re going to organise that.”

The ISIS claim marks the first time that the extremist group, which has captured swathes of territory in Syria and Iraq using brutal methods, is alleged to have carried out an attack in the United States.

SOLD OUT: May 3rd Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest in Garland, Texas (Photos)

Bob Price - BBTX ProfileThe inaugural Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest hosted by Pamela Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) is sold out and ready for Sunday evening’s festivities. The event is billed as an expression of free speech said to be under attack from radical Islamic groups like those who attacked Charlie Hebdo in January. The exhibit will be held on Sunday, May 3, at the Curtis Culwell Center, 5-7 p.m., in the Dallas suburb of Garland, Texas.

“At a time when American Muslim groups in the US should have stood up for free speech and showed the world the way forward, they chose to stand with the Hebdo jihadists,” said Geller in an January email to Breitbart Texas.

Breitbart Texas previously reported that Democratic U.S. Representatives

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN)

and André Carson (D-IN) have tried to block Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders from entering the United States and appearing at the inaugural event. They co-authored a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, asking them to block Wilders’ entry. They cited the International Religious Freedom Act as authority. The Act allows the State Department to ban the entry of foreign leaders “responsible for severe violations of religious freedom.”Geller told Breitbart Texas she has received two hundred pieces of art for the exhibit and contest.

The winning piece and other samples are shown below:

Winner "You Can't Draw Me" - Bosch Fawstin

"Keep them Virgin" - Ted Babb

"Religion of Peace" - Jeff Harris

"I've Got the Edge" - Paul Green

"Muhammad Mecusa" - Madeline Zucker

"Draw Me and Die" - Brad Kostynuik

"Pied Piper Jihad" - Madeline Zucker

"Keep Out NZ Free Speech" - Podrig Oshaunasey

Geller has been sounding the alarm about Muslim encroachment into Europe and America, and its potential impact on American culture. She has been doing so for quite some time. In 2010, she organized and successfully led thousands of protesters (according to her estimate) in a march on the site of the proposed “Ground Zero Mosque.” Eventually, plans for that mosque were cancelled.

Breitbart Texas will be attending the event Sunday evening in Garland. The Curtis Culwell Center is located at 4999 Naaman Forest Blvd. in Garland. Again, the event will be held on Sunday, May 3, 5-7 p.m.

While suspicions over the death of a 14-year-old mother are still yet to be enlightened, an official lawsuit has been filed against the family of child bride Kader Ertem, her husband and the husband’s family, on charges of “deprivation of liberty” and “sexual harassment of children.”

The suspects, identified as Musa Ertem, Mehmet Atak, Suna Ertem, Tahir Atak and Sabriye Sivil, face 18 years in jail, according to reports.

Ertem was found dead with a gunshot wound in her home in the southeastern province of Siirt on Jan. 11, a few days after her newborn second child had died.

A complaint was filed to the local gendarmerie when Ertem gave birth on Sep. 12, 2013 because she was too young, Public Prosecutor Bayram Bayar has said, adding that a petition for investigation of the suspects had been delivered to the Pervari Public Prosecutors’ Office.

Bayar also said there were three separate cases into the death of Ertem, including a case into her marriage to her husband, Mehmet Atak, with a religious ceremony. The second case is into the village head who did not inform the authorities, despite knowing that Ertem was too young to be married while she was living with Atak under informal conditions. The third case is into the families of Atak and Ertem.

Atak’s family claims that Ertem committed suicide because she was depressed after her second child died. However, Ertem’s father said they was expecting further forensic tests that would see whether his daughter had gunshot residue in her hand, in order to enlighten the circumstances of her death.

“The documents given after the autopsy in Diyarbakır indicate that she was shot by a hunting rifle and not by a gun. I want light to be shed on her death,” the father said, noting that a hunting rifle was an unusual weapon to use in a suicide.

The husband, who was performing his military service at the time when the incident took place, said he believed his young wife had died as a result of an “accident.”
