The shocking case of a Muslim man who raped his own daughter occurred in the Norwegian city of Fredrikstad just over four weeks ago. The man in his 40s has been in police custody for the past four weeks, with DNA evidence confirming allegations made by his daughter, reports Norwegian broadcaster Fredrikstad24.
The rape occurred in early September and the father of the victim was arrested shortly after the daughter had ran away from their home and informed two postmen who then contacted police.
The father asserted that the entire incident had been fabricated by his daughter. However, DNA evidence showed without a doubt that his DNA had been present in the victim’s underwear and in her intimate areas. In the Fredrikstad district court, the father reacted to the presentation of the DNA evidence by saying that the DNA got there because he had sat on her bed.
According to the young woman, her father did not approve of her lifestyle and would rather that she had followed in the same traditional Islamic lifestyle as her parents do. The resulting argument over her ‘Westernisation’ led to the rape, she said.
While the father has been imprisoned for his actions and awaits trial, the effect on the daughter has been devastating, according to the police prosecutor. Due to the severe trauma endured by the young woman, she has been placed in a hospital for psychiatric care as authorities fear she may attempt to take her own life.
The father is expected to be in court within the next month where if found guilty he will likely be sentenced to up to ten years in prison.
Violence toward women by Muslim men, both sexual and physical, has grown in Europe over the past year. Breitbart London reported this month on one man who threw hischildren out of an upper story window because he feared his family was becoming too Westernised.
In another case, a Syrian man in an asylum home in Germany killed his own wife after a heated argument. The murder took place in the room next to where their children were sleeping. Later, the father played with his children as if nothing had happened.
